School Presentations

At the Islamic Speakers Bureau of Atlanta (ISB), we feel the key to understanding is through education and dialogue. We are an outreach organization that seeks to educate people in metro Atlanta about Islam and Muslims, using a proven presentation model developed by Islamic Networks Group.

ISB's goal in working with schools is to add a personal interaction and to well as to correct any misinformation about Islam. Our strategy for achieving this goal is face-to-face interaction among the speaker, students and teachers. Our presentations bring classroom readings to life.

Each year, ISB delivers many presentations to private and public school classrooms. At the teacher's invitation, ISB speakers give a formal presentation followed by an interactive question and answer session.

Beginning with the Islamic greeting, "assalamu alaikum," we cover a variety of topics such as Islamic history, demographics, culture and Islam, Islamic beliefs and practices and how they relate to everyday life in America, and Islamic holidays and celebrations.

Additionally, speakers may tailor their presentations to cover broader topics such as social issues for American teens, women and families, and stereotypes and perceptions of Islam and Muslims.
